Safety & risk awareness
Blue Ridge Mountain Resort prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our guests. This is a shared responsibility of us and all of our guests. It is essential that guests understand the Alpine Responsibility Code that describes the required conduct of anyone using the facilities.
It is important for guests to understand that snow sports do carry a certain element of risk, and it is essential that this risk is understood, and that everyone rides within their limits.
If you cannot commit to following the Alpine Responsibility Code, or if you are not comfortable with the Exclusion of Liability Notice, we are equally obligated to keep you off the hill in order to protect the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of the rest of our guests.

Patrolling
Blue Ridge Mountain Resort has partnered with Canadian Ski Patrol (Mountain Division, Powakan Zone) to provide the highest level of health, safety and first aid to our guests. Training requirements to become a certified Ski Patroller are robust and take a significant commitment from the volunteers. They must be highly competent skiers/boarders and have an advanced first aid certification. For more information about Canadian Ski Patrol, visit skipatrol.ca
For anyone interested in becoming a trained Ski Patroller, we encourage you to track down any of the Ski Patrol volunteers at the hill and have a chat. There are also opportunities to be a Patrol Assistant or Junior Patroller, please let us know if you’re interested in volunteering in one of these roles.
